At the start I want to tell briefly what is stock company “Laima”. “Laima” is the largest Latvian sweets producer with 140 years of experience and knowledge. “Laima” produce more than 250 different products ranging from different types of chocolate and chocolate products to waffles and other pastry-work. “Laima” is the largest manufacturer of sweets in the Baltic with the export worldwide. “Laima” exports its production to more than 25 countries worldwide at present and the export keeps growing.

Stock company “Laima” have his home page and it already indicates that “Laima” use media to communicate with his customers, potential customers, suppliers, investors and other persons. In “Laima” home page every one can get to know about company, its products, special offers, current events and excursions in factory.

Stock company “Laima” uses many social media and they are Draugiem.lv, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr

“Laima” uses Draugiem.lv to communicate with people. “Laima” has created page in this social media, where it places novelties, pictures of events and questionnaire. There are also some games in this page related to its products. In this social media communication happens many to many. “Laima” communicates with people and people with communicate with “Laima”. “Laima” place at page information in form of text and pictures and people comment it. Admittedly the activity of people is very low. There are small amount of comments from people about information posted by “Laima” and “Laima” does not answer them. “Laima” places information at Draugiem.lv regularly. “Laima” places information at Draugiem.lv page every day and more than one time in one day. This page at Facebook has 3225 likes, which are Latvian – speaking people, because “Laima” page at Facebook is only at Latvian. That is not good, because 327940 people use Facebook. It means that 0,98% Latvian like “Laima” page at Facebook and they follow it. If we look at likes more, we can see that there are 10 likes on average. It is very small amount. If we know that they have 3225 likes and only 10 likes on average to our posts, it is very bad. That means that “Laima” need to think how to attract people to its page at Facebook. There is reference at “Laima” home page to its page at Facebook. People can click on this icon and “Laima” page at Facebook will open. But there is not connection from page at Facebook to home page. Objectives of “Laima” for page at social media Facebook also is reputation and relationship. To achieve these objectives “Laima” need to work on it. “Laima” employs Twitter to communicate with people. “Laima” has created account in this social media. In Twitter account “Laima” places novelties. In Twitter account communication happens from many to many. “Laima” communicates with people and people communicate with “Laima”. “Laima” place at page information in form of text and pictures and people tweet about them. Activity at Twitter also is very low. People do not tweet very much. The communication in Twitter between “Laima” and people is good. “Laima” answer to people also to their tweet not only tweet their information. Also people react to these tweets, but not very much. „Laima” tweet information at Twitter account regularly – every day and more than one time in one day. But I think it is to small amount of tweet for Twitter. I think that activity from “Laima” should be bigger. It display also amount of tweets. “Laima” has 1247 tweets. I think it is too small amount. This page at Twitter has 2337 followers, which are Latvian – speaking people, because at “Laima” Twitter account is only at Latvian. That is not good. 65 000 Latvians use Twitter. It means that only 3,6%  follow “Laima” at Twitter. There is reference at “Laima” home page to its page at Facebook. People can click on this icon and “Laima” Twitter account will open. And there is connection from Twitter account to home page. Objectives of “Laima” for page at social media Twitter also is reputation and relationship. To achieve these objectives “Laima” need to work on it. Primarily “Laima” should start to tweet more not only by tweeting information, but by answering to people tweets. And next “Laima” need to think, how it can attract people to follow it at Twitter. This page is public – everybody can see it.

“Laima” also uses YouTube to communicate with people. “Laima” has created account in YouTube. At YouTube account “Laima” places video about novelties – new products, special offers, competitions and lotteries. “Laima” place in YouTube account mostly their advertisements. The communication at YouTube happens one to many. “Laima” place their videos in YouTube account and every one can see it. But there are comments from people to “Laima”. In YouTube account “Laima” does not place information very regularly. There are some videos during one month it there are some new products, lotteries or competitions organized by “Laima”. View of videos at YouTube account is 44900. These videos can look every one, but mostly audience is Latvian and Russian– speaking people. Objectives of “Laima” for page at social media Youtube also is reputation and relationship. To achieve these objectives “Laima” need to work on it. Primarily “Laima” should start to communicate with people at this page more – not only by placing information at the form of video, but also attaching peoples say their point of view. And there is connection from Twitter account to home page, which is located after every video. This page is public – everybody can see it.

“Laima” has created also account at Flickr, but there do not have any activity. It looks that account is created recently, but it is created 2 years ago.
